Universirty of Rome-La Sapienza Scholarships Computer Science Postgraduate


Each Computer Science Postgraduate fellowship amounts to € 19.800,00 per year; this amount includes national insurance contributions (INPS) that fellowship recipients are required to pay (8,91% for 2011).

The Computer Science Postgraduate fellowship doesn’t cover the annual entrance fee and doesn’t increase for research periods spent abroad.

The PhD Computer Science Postgraduate Programme lasts three years and may be extended to a fourth year (without grant), subject to approval by the School authorities. At the end of the first and second year of attendance, students have to be evaluated as proficient according to the rules of the Schools.

Bursaries and Scholarships Computer Science Postgraduate


The scholarship Computer Science Postgraduate applies to most of our full-time, gave master classes at the University of Glamorgan in the fall of 2011, plus a range of courses offered in February 2012 recording.

The
Computer Science Postgraduate deadline for students who MSc Disaster Health Care / MSc is a recipe for disaster management of environmental risk study Friday, August 12, 2011. The deadline for all other applications for the courses from fall 2011 is Friday 16 September 2011. The Computer Science Postgraduate application deadline for courses starting in February 2012 is Friday 27 January 2012. Please note that scholarships are limited and are allocated on a first come, first served. If you have questions about this scholarship, please contact the students money in student services.

Application criteria and details of grants

To be eligible for a scholarship applicant (Home or EU) must meet the following criteria.
Successful candidates must:

Make sure that their application to the student relationship service by the announced date. Candidates, not university (or his staff) are fully responsible for compliance with this element of the criteria.
Gain first-class or second class honors top honors degree or an equivalent degree (students with skills that will be handled on a case outside the United Kingdom)
Offered to accept a place on the right, taught Master's course, this offer and register for the course in a timely manner.


Further conditions

Graduates with a first class honours degree or an upper second class honours issued by the University of Glamorgan or Polytechnic of Wales may apply for a scholarship totalling £2,000.
Graduates from other Universities may apply for a scholarship totalling £1,500.
You can apply for the scholarship before the announcement of your degree results but the scholarship will only be confirmed following acceptance by the student of a place on an eligible course, and provision of suitable evidence clearly demonstrating their first class or upper second class honours degree.
Students with qualifications from outside of the UK will be dealt with on an individual basis.
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must have a first class honours degree or an upper second class honours degree or equivalent qualification. Equivalence will be determined by the University of Glamorgan whose decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Students repeating a course at the University of Glamorgan will not be eligible for a scholarship. (Students granted mitigating circumstances by the University will be considered on an individual basis).
Students who have previously received any payment from a University of Glamorgan postgraduate scholarship, will not be eligible to apply for another scholarship to study a different eligible course.
These scholarships are not payable with any other form of support from public funds e.g. directly from any other Welsh Assembly Government initiative or objective one/convergence funding.
The scholarship will be paid directly into successful applicants’ bank account via BACS with £1,000 or £1,500 payable approximately 4 months after successfully enrolling and studying on the course. The remaining £500 will be provided after successful completion of the Masters, within the standard time allowed. Applicants also have the option of requesting that their scholarship payments go directly towards paying off their tuition fees.

SCRIPT Scholarships 2011/12 Computer Science Postgraduate


Computer Science Postgraduate The SCRIPT/AHRC Research Centre for Studies in Intellectual Property and Technology Law offers two scholarships for students wishing to pursue one of the following programmes:

  • LLM Innovation, Technology and the Law (Distance Learning)
  • LLM Medical Law and Ethics (Distance Learning)
  • LLM Intellectual Property Law (Distance Learning)
  • LLM Information Technology Law (Distance Learning)

Computer Science Postgraduate awards will be based on a short paper (up to 1500 words including footnotes) on following topic:

"Critically assess an example of how technological innovation (eg. in medicine, IT, intellectual property, forensics) impacts on the law, and vice versa."

Your paper must be your own original work, and you should not have used it in any other context. It will be judged on its academic merit. At least two members of the academic staff will assess the paper independently (double blind), and in case of dispute will refer the paper to a third member/party.

The first Computer Science Postgraduate award is open to applicants from around the world. The second award is open specifically to assist students from developing countries. A developing country shall be considered any country classified as a low income economy by the World Bank.

Applications for the scholarship must be submitted to Clare Neilson at escript.support@ed.ac.uk by Friday 29th July 2011.

Please use the coversheet provided (DOC). To be considered for the award, you must have completed the application process, and have been made an offer of a place on one of the distance learning LLMs, prior to the deadline for submission. Please download the attached coversheet to submit with your paper.

Award Process: The two students who are selected will have the scholarship amount of 3,000 GBP deducted from their fees during the registration process if they are full-time. Students who are part-time starting in September 2010 over 2 years will have 1,500 GBP deducted from both year one and year two fees. Students who are part-time starting in September 2010 over 3 years will have 1,000 GBP deducted from each year's fees.

Successful applicants should be aware that they must have commenced their programme of study within 12 months of the academic year for which it was initially awarded.

School of Advanced Study Doctoral Studentships Computer Science Postgraduate at UK


The school Computer Science Postgraduate offers its own scholarships for research degree (PhD) (MPhil / PhD). In 2011-12 Computer Science Postgraduate, we plan to offer a maximum of two research (PhD) student-level, starting in October 2011.

Price and promotion criteria

PhD scholarships
Computer Science Postgraduate cover tuition and living allowance, full speed in the UK Research Council for students, based in London. Scholarships can Home / EU or overseas students will be awarded, and can study full time or part time. Only students in their first academic year 2011/12 are eligible.

Computer Science Postgraduate applicants to both AHRC BGP studentships and the SAS Doctoral Studentship must have accepted the offer of a place from the Institute in which they wish to study and returned the Studentship application form by 5.00 pm on Wednesday 27 April 2011. If you miss this deadline you will not be eligible for AHRC or School Studentship funding.
